At a campaign rally at the University of Denver on Thursday, U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet said Republican challenger Ken Buck wants to be the “chief filibuster” in the Senate, blocking legislation.
Well, after the Big Government freight train Bennet and the Obama Administration set in motion with stimulus, health-care and financial regulation, ANYBODY putting the brakes on would be welcome. Then Bennet said this…
“…Another difference is that, as the father of three little girls, I strongly believe that their choices around their own reproduction and their health care ought to be made by them, not by the government.”
So, where abortion is concerned, Bennet is adamant: government keep out. On the issue of health care, Bennet is a social engineer, approving of more and more government involvement.
Of all the arguments that I have heard on the contentious issue of abortion through the years, it’s the height of political hypocrisy to say the government shouldn’t be involved in decisions like abortion, yet still vote for ObamaCare, the largest government hijacking of healthcare to date.
Indeed, before he sidelined the issue this year as going nowhere, Bennet was a prime-mover of the so-called “public option” of government insurance. Watch this video compilation from 2009…
